Understanding my Network

I'm profiting unbelievably from my constantly expanding network of business and private contacts.  After having functioned in this network for over a year, I am convinced that it's not a mere coincidence or luck that it is giving me so much back.


Inspired by some of the talks at the OXID Partnertag on e-Commerce topics I set out to read up a bit on how exactly search engines are observing huge amounts of Internet data as networks, such as the graphic on the right, and ranking them by relative quantitative value of importance.  The ranking process is highly mathematical.

Similar network theory has been researched extensively in faculties of electronics, telecommunications and of course mathematics.

I would like to use this space to try to draw parallels of how search-engines network information and rank it, to how network marketing and network sales works.
